Friday night at Babies R Us

Greg and I went out tonight and picked up a few of the remaining must haves we need to finish out the babies' room before I get bigger and more uncomfortable. While we were there we found Winnie the Pooh and Tigger hooded towels!!! I've been looking for these everywhere without much luck and we were looking at the hooded towels and there they were. Before I washed them we decided to model them:

The room is about ready to go we just have to put together some finishing touches. We will post some pictures soon.

April's Haircut & Funny

Today we took April for a haircut. We have to keep her trimmed every 2 months or she becomes a big ole mess!!! That afternoon after he took her to the groomer he went to the grocery store. While he was there he picked up some Dingos, which are April's rawhide of choice. When he got home he brought in half the groceries and went back out to the car to get the rest. I was resting on the couch and April went over and sniffed at the groceries bags as she always does. I told her no and she darted away. When Greg came back in he asked her why I gave her a Dingo already and I said I hadn't, the little sneak had managed to get her nose in the package and get one before I told her to get out of the groceries! Here is a picture of her with her loot!

30 week ultrasound

If you look you can see Baby B gave us a nice profile. Baby A was much less agreeable and we got part of her face. Baby A is still breech and I have about given up on her turning in the next couple of weeks, basically if she doesn't turn by 32 weeks there won't be room for her to turn anymore. This just means I will have a c-section. I'd really hoped to avoid this but it is not looking possible.

As you can see they are getting harder to catch on ultrasound as we get further along. The ultrasound tech warned us about this at our last appointment. Today she also told me I needed to make sure to start and take it easy since I've been having mild contractions throughout the past couple of weeks. I have a follow up appt with my physician Tuesday morning.

Baby A:
Heartrate: 135 BPM
Weight: 3 lbs 5 oz (approx.)

Baby B:
Heartrate: 141 BPM
Weight: 3 lbs 1 oz (approx.)

5 year anniversary

Melissa & I celebrated our 5 year anniversary today with our annual shot. However, we had to make a minor adjustment since Melissa currently can't drink.

Crib Assembly

Today was the big day. I finally gave Greg the go ahead to put the cribs together. He cleaned the carpets in the babies' room first and then he went at it. Here are some pics:

Twins at 28 weeks

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Quiet Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! He is risen!

We celebrated quietly this year. We started with the early Easter mass so we did not have to go with all of the C & E's to the mid and late morning masses. Mass was still a little busy but not as bad as we've seen later in the morning. We went to the parish Greg officially registered us with this past week, St. Therese. After mass we headed out to Sunday Brunch at Claddagh Irish Pub. It was super yummy! We've been their for brunch on other occassions and it is always nice. Then we hit Meijer where it was great to grocery shop and practically be the only people at the store!

After all of this we came home and I was ready for a nap! I slept for a couple hours while Greg went for his long run of the week. He is preparing for the Flying Pig in 4 weeks and is in the final stages of preparation. When Greg got home we prepared a turkey breast, potatoes and green bean casserole. This is one of Greg's favorite meals because he loves my maple bourbon turkey glaze & gravy.

It was nice to have a quiet Sunday and relax a little as we prepare for the excitement that is to come in a little less than 3 months!
